Transporting all types of goods for over 40 years
INTERFRACHT was founded on 1st April 1972 in Bremen by the forwarding agent Hans Peter Hogenkamp and the shipping line agent Udo Karrasch. The company was initially located in the city's historical Cotton Exchange Building.
Due to the steady growth of business, the company moved at the end of 1984 to larger offices at the entrance to Bremen's Europahafen. The positive trend continued over the succeeding years and the company was able, in early 1993, to relocate to its own office building, which today forms the headquarter of the INTERFRACHT Group with over 33,000 sq ft of office space at Stuhr-Brinkum (close to Bremen).
Today the INTERFRACHT Group has subsidiaries in Bremen, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Wilhelmshaven as well as in the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Romania and Japan with a total staff of about 250 employees. These companies all corporate under the roof of one holding company, INTERFRACHT Speditions-Gesellschaft GmbH & Co. KG.
